Superfoodies’ Organic Gelatinised Maca Powder is made from the Peruvian yellow maca root, grown by small organic farmers at high altitudes in the Andean Region. After drying and milling the powder is activated through a process called gelatinisation (by way of pressured heat), resulting in a sweeter more caramel flavour powder that is gentle on digestion. Like its raw counterpart, gelatinised powder is packed with macamides, the key therapeutic component of maca that has been found to aid the function of the endocrine system, balancing hormones. Great in smoothies and baking.
