turmeric powder, organic

Harvested in India, Superfoodies' Organic Turmeric Powder is made from dried and ground turmeric roots. Also named 'The Golden spice' or 'Indian saffron', Turmeric has been used in Asia for over 4000 years and greatly valued for its many beneficial properties. With its beautiful golden colour and unique aroma, Turmeric has found its way into many dishes, but it is the more recent scientific research into one of its active components, Curcumin (a powerful anti-inflammatory agent and a potent antioxidant) that has rocketed Turmeric into the sphere of the superfoods.

Our Organic Turmeric Powder is perfect for use in smoothies, hot beverages, raw treats and for adding amazing flavour, colour and nutrition to curries and sauces. At home we even use it as a natural colourant for making play dough with the kids!
